Quilted Jacket
A months long project with goal of creating a vibrant quilted coat to brighten up the Portland winter days. Color palette and fabrics were handpicked and quilted blocks were assembled to have precise placement on each pattern piece. This jacket also showcases a combination of machine and hand-stitched quilting which gives it that gorgeous handcrafted human quality.

Repurposed Poncho
On a recent trip to Mexico, I fell in love with this iconic print depicting the Virgin of Guadalupe. This garment originally was a poncho and later repurposed into a jacket. The edges were then embelished with a pop colored blanket stitch.

Adidas Career Quilt
Over the years I have collected and archived my work as a graphic designer. Usually these samples sit in a box only to be brought out every once in a while to update my website. Or if they’re lucky enough, added to my warddrobe rotation. In an effort to hang onto less stuff, I decided to honor my graphic career and created a piece that showcased my portfolio in the form of a scrappy quilt.
The chaotic arrangement of colors and graphic clashing forced me to think less, be playful and spontaneous. Over 8 months, I allowed myself to have no plan and create random 4x4 blocks until it “felt right” and eventually it did once it overwhelmingly covered the size of a Queen bed.

Macrame Patio Chair
This was one of those projects I had been saving with no real plan and sadly sat weathered for years on the side of the house. It wasn’t until I went shopping in my neighborhood and spotted a charming macrame chair that the rotten chair project resurfaced from the depths of my mental checklist. That’s when I knew “I could make that!” I’ve casually made small decorative macrame art and I was inspired to have a project that was functional and advanced my skills.
This chair now lovingly lives inside my studio where I sit with my coffee and birdwatch. She occassionally gets taken outside and is never left out in the rain.
